This research aims to identify infection prevention and control programs at Sawering Gading Hospital, Palopo City. Through field observations and in-depth interviews. By looking at the procedures for installing IVs, changing bandages, giving injections and handling waste by nurses in inpatient rooms, policies, facilities and infrastructure, monitoring and reporting infections. This research used a descriptive approach with qualitative methods, using a total of 10 respondents.
The results of this research show that management's role in designing the work of health workers is by evaluating the performance of health workers, and ensuring that each health worker carries out their duties and responsibilities according to their work and tries to ensure that most of the actions are carried out well. Recommendations that can be given to hospitals are improving the organizational structure, assigning full-time IPCN nurses, and increasing the effectiveness of training.
